A Busy Year 2011 / 2012

It has been a very busy year for the School Council at Stormont House, they have concentrated on raising the profile of the council within the Stormont House community.

They have met with Ms Weston on a number of occassions to review the school lunches. The reps have canvassed their classes to find out their views on the positives and negatives about the present school lunches. Ms Weston took on board the information that the council bought to the table and has arranged that 10 new items that the council declared they would like on the menus would be put onto the menu in the autumn term.

They interviewed Mr Hawes about the decant site and the new school, he was very impressed by their questions and promised to keep them in the loop on any news that would affect them in the future. Mr Hawes arranged with Mr McDonnell  that the school council reps would be the first to see the decant school so that they could feedback to their individual classes so that pupils would be prepared for when they themselves visited the site.

In the Autumn term new elections will be taking place for School Council reps as the present reps have been in office for just over one year.

I would like to congratulate every school rep for a good year's work.

Well Done.
